The Zanzibar Archipelago, located in the Indian Ocean 15 miles off the coast of Tanzania, is a breathtaking spot to escape from the world. You’ll enjoy clear, turquoise-blue water; shallow sandbars perfect for wading; and many small, nearly deserted islands virtually unvisited by tourists. Explore the World Heritage Site of Stone Town, Zanzibar City’s old quarter. Or just go beach to beach between tiny fishing villages—each one's better than the next.

My husband and I went to Africa for our honeymoon. We booked two private safaris and had to use two companies - one in Uganda (found online) who then recommended Great Day Safaris for Tanzania. So thankful now because Great Day Safaris gave us an UNFORGETTABLE safari. You can book any tour in Tanzania to include the parks, food, and accommodation package... BUT If you want THE ULTIMATE SAFARI EXPERIENCE, Great Day Safaris is the only option. NO JOKE. We wish Saidy (Owner) and Tango (Guide) could have been our sole tour guide and driver throughout our entire 19-day honeymoon because our first 6 days in Africa were with them, THEY SET THE BAR TOO HIGH! No company/guide we had on days 7-19 could even compete... Although we enjoyed the rest of our trip, Great Day Safaris delivers an unmatched first-class experience! With Great Day Safaris, you gain more than you could ever pay! Our only regret is not being able to "Book" Saidy and Tango for Days 7-19! Even after our safari ended both guys checked in to make sure we were being taken care of. THEY GO BEYOND THE BOOKING, becoming family!

Guest from italyI went on safari with 5 other women. We had an amazing time. We went to nogorogoro crater , lake manyara, and Serengeti. All the locations where so different and beautiful- there was soo many animals. The animals would walk right past the parked truck!! We saw herds of elephants, hippos, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and everything else- lions, monkeys, birds and chameleon. Our driver Saidy was super thoughtful and patient and knew all about the animals. I hope to be able to go back and do it all again exactly the same. Definitely a wonderful trip of a lifetime!! Next time i go i will be volunteering at the orphanage as well. This is such a well rounded group of people that help their locals. Its a win - win :)

Guest from LondonWe had an amazing day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater! Euphoria Safaris took such great care of us, even arranging an early pick-up from Kilimanjaro to accommodate our group needing to be back by a certain time. The guides were friendly, fun, and knowledgeable -- we especially loved that they sent a professional photographer along with us to document our trip. The crater itself is magical -- incredible scenery and SO much wildlife. If you're on the fence about this trip, don't miss it!.

Guest from Los AngelosWe stayed at Butiama Beach Lodge as part of our honeymoon trip in September 2022 in a sea view room, and couldn't have been more delighted with our stay! Everything was created for comfort, tranquility, and enjoyment of the stunning surroundings of the hotel. It felt like it was just us in the whole place and the activities offered were amazing - we did the whale shark snorkelling where we saw 5 whale sharks in not-high season, the snorkelling trip in Chole Bay and Discover scuba dive trips. All of which had knowledgable, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for an independent, boutique feel that's rich in beautiful beaches and marine life. The team at Butiama even put a beautiful surprise dinner together on our last night following a sunset cruise - bliss! Couldn't thank them enough, and we are already planning to come back in the future.

Guest from UKThe day hike of Kilimanjaro was great. Mathias with Rupia Adventures made sure we were all set to go before we got to Tanzania, and even went out of his way to come to us for our in-briefing the day before. The hike itself was overall pretty easy. My husband and I are quite experienced hikers, so our guide was able to feel out our pace and go at a speed we were comfortable with. They provided us a lunch and even made sure to get me something that was gluten-free. We did our hike amidst the COVID outbreak, and honestly it was a great time to go as there was no one on the trails with us. The drive to and from the mountain was pretty long (3 hours one way), but we decided to stay in a hotel near the airport instead of in Arusha after the hike, and Rupia Adventures went out of their way to drop us off there and even pulled the car over several times so I could get a clear picture of the peak. Overall great experience..

Guest from Colorado SpringsMy guide, John, was awesome. He has scaled Kilimanjaro 99(!) times in 7 years, guiding people from ages 7 to 89 and even those with medical conditions. I’m a 250 pound dude that lifts weights 6 times a week but am not very fit so I was a little worried about how I would fare on a 16km (almost 10 mile) hike. John prepared me for what ti expect, let me drive the pace I was comfortable with during the hike, and encouraged me when I took a break to rest. It took about 3 hours to make it to the hut for lunch and then about 2.5 hours on the way back. Lunch was really big and had variety. He carries that for you on the hike and provides water that you carry - bring a container to keep it in as plastic bottles aren’t allowed.
